Metal Plates are perfect for framed pictures, shadowboxes, memorial flag cases, or keepsake chests. Our solid brass plates can also be used outside on benches, trees, and stone markers. The brass has a clear coat that will protect the plate outside for many years. When engraved, the letters will be a shiny gold color. Over time, the letters will oxidize and darken, giving them a natural antique look. This will be more pronounced on plates kept outdoors. Outside plates whose clear coat has worn down years later can be cleaned with steel wool and recoated with clear spray paint to give your plate many more years of life.
